Laurentis Energy Partners launches Reconciliation Action Plan to help advance Indigenous reconc

Laurentis Energy Partners (Laurentis) is proud to announce the launch of its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), outlining its commitments towards supporting Indigenous reconciliation and inclusion in Canada’s energy sector.

Laurentis’s RAP is a direct response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Call to Action #92, which calls on corporate Canada to establish mutually beneficial relationships with Indigenous Peoples and contribute to healing the historical harms caused by colonization. The RAP is a formalized set of commitments, translating the company’s good intentions into action and creating meaningful impacts for Indigenous Peoples.

Developed in consultation with Indigenous-owned strategic consulting firm Creative Fire, the RAP is the result of a transparent and highly collaborative process. Facilitated engagement sessions with internal and external stakeholders informed a plan that is built around five pillars: governance, education, employment, community and economic engagement, and health and wellness.

The RAP is a living document marking the beginning of Laurentis’s journey towards creating a better future for Indigenous Peoples. Through ongoing training, awareness campaigns, and the establishment of internal mechanisms for accountability and feedback, Laurentis aims to ensure that every employee is actively engaged in the implementation of the RAP and promoting Indigenous inclusion and empowerment within the company and beyond.
